Josef Martinez, a top scorer from Atlanta,  shone in the MLS All-Star game against Italian champion Juventus , which ended in a 1-1 draw so the game was decided on penalty shoot-outs with victory for the Italians who scored all of their 5 penalty shots, while MLS failed one through Bradley Wright-Phillips of the New York Red Bulls , who crashed the fifth shot in the left post.
The Juventus secured the win before 72,317 spectators who gathered to see a great match. Mattia De Sciglio beat goalkeeper from Columbus, Zack Steffen, to make the score 5-4 in penalty kicks.
It was the second year in a row that the All-Star Game ends with a 1-1 draw and is decided on penalties. In 2017, Real Madrid won the MLS 4-2 at Soldier Field in Chicago.
The game this year was played at Atlanta United's home, the Mercedes-Benz Stadium , at a cost of $ 1,500 million dollars, it has received record attendances since the team joined the MLS in 2017. The team averages nearly 52,000 spectators per match and this campaign already has the five biggest attendance in the history of the League, all over 70,000 fans.
Juventus, who is on a four-game tour in the United States, did not have his prized acquisition, the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo who left the ranks of Real Madrid to join the Italian champion.
