Time to get the
popcorn, licorice and nachos out and enjoy Hollywood’s newest releases for this
week. Hope you all enjoy the weekend, and get to catch one of these new flicks.
THE BIG WEDDING (Rated
R):
A modern family is
celebrating a new union among their relatives. However a couple among the
guests has been faking their marriage just to show that they are all in unity
and harmony. The whole wedding celebration can become a disaster if any of
the guests or even the family becomes aware of the whole situation and it
can ruin the new couples wedding and its beginning. Directed by Justin Zackman
and actors Robert De Niro, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon, Katherine Heigl, Robin
Williams among others will bring this new movie to the big screen starting Friday
April 26, 2013.
PAIN AND GAIN (rated
R):
Directed by Michael
Bay and actors Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris among
others brings the story of a bodybuilder who works at a local gym along with
his friend. Tired of not being economically stable he decides to plot and
kidnap a regular rich gym attendee. After capturing and torturing him, the wealthy member signs over all his finances to the kidnappers.
Thinking they have completed their crime successfully they sing victory but to
their surprise, their prey escapes and hires a private investigator to find the
culprits of his kidnapping taking a new twist in the movie.
MUD (PG 13):
This movie relates the
story of two boys who are close friends and one day out of nowhere they find a
man hiding in an island. After a long conversation they learn that the man is
hiding from the bounty hunters since he has committed several crimes and he is
determined to find his true love and escape with her. Directed by Jeff Nichols
and actors Matthew McConaughey, Tye Sheridan, Jacob Lofland and Reese
Witherspoon this adventurous story of these two friends who are technically
helping a criminal will find themselves in a circle of intrigues and dilemmas.
ARTHUR NEWMAN
Wallace Avery is tired of his life. Divorced, disconnected from his son, dissatisfied with his love life, he decides the time has come for a radical solution. He literally walks away from his life, buys himself a new identity as Arthur Newman, and sets out toward his own private Oz - Terre Haute, Indiana - where he believes he has a chance to work as a golf pro. Wallace's idea of a second chance is to become a second person. His road trip is derailed by the entrance of Michaela Fitzgerald, whom Arthur discovers passed out poolside at a motel. It takes her all of a couple hours to bust Arthur's identity scam. It takes Arthur a lot longer to bust hers.
KING´S FAITH (PG 13):

Whitfield bring to the big screen a film that surely relates with our modern society. This movie tells the story of a young man whose whole life was ruled
by gangs, drugs and many of the same problems our youth face today. After going to prison at an early age (15 years old), he makes a turn in his life with the help of his new loving and caring foster family, who tries to guide him in the right direction, a better and stronger spiritual life closer to God. But as much as he wants to leave his past behind, it continues to haunt him when a gang threatens to kill him and his new family testing his new faith and convictions.
This is a great movie with an excellent message, especially for our teens that need guidance and good role models, and movies like this one, can help them make better choices.
