DAY OF THE DEAD FESTIVAL FEATURING JULIETA VENEGAS AT FOREVER CEMETERY THIS SATURDAY

For the 17th year in a row, the Hollywood Forever Cemetery announces a diverse and star-studded lineup that will surely sweep crowds off their feet on October 29th. Featuring global pop icon Julieta Venegas, Los Angeles-bred latin-funk-cumbia fusion heroesBuyepongo, acclaimed tango-inspired singer-songwriter Mitre, the charming Peruvian pop-folk duo Alejandro y Maria Laura and the amazing female Mariachi Flor de Toloache  on the main stage. Julieta Venegas Hailing from Tijuana, Mexico, the internationally praised pop star got her start in the ska-punk border band Tijuana NO! when she was in high school. She has since gone on to author some of the most prolific albums in Latin pop today. Her first solo album 'Aquí' was released in 1997 and catapulted her onto the international stage-- she has since collaborated with greats such as Gustavo Santaolalla, Aterciopelados, Cafe Tacvba, and even Nick Cave; she has won both at the Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards
