Sebastian De La Cruz Cheered On By Obama By Tony Franco Eleven-year-old singer   Sebastian de la Cruz who brushed off racist comments and venom on Twitter earlier this week, returned to the stage   Thursday night to perform the National Anthem before game four of the NBA finals, with many stars and full crowd cheering him on. After being introduced by San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, D e La Cruz gave a splendid performance singing out the nation’s National Anthem once again , drawing cheers and applause by the supporting crowd several times , specially when his voice hit peak intensity. De la Cruz first made headlines Tuesday night, after Twitter users lashed out at him, saying a “Mexican” shouldn’t perform the National Anthem and other racist comments. "A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that 1,100 people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. Three minutes went by, and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace, and stopped for a few seconds, and then hurried up to meet his schedule. A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and without stopping, and continued to walk.
